This year’s Moot Court focused on employment law took place on Thursday, November 14, 2019, once again organized by our office in conjunction with the student association ELSA Czech Republic Prague. The competition takes place in two rounds: first teams receive a written assignment, and then the best teams proceed to a simulated court hearing where they have to defend their position and argue for a fair resolution as counsel for their client before a panel of three judges.
The judges were partner Arthur Braun, of-counsel Lucie Kalašová, and associate Markéta Nešetřilová, and they had their work cut out for them, as this year’s teams were extremely well prepared with supporting arguments. They gained invaluable experience in what it is like to represent a client in practice as well as feedback from the judges at the end of the simulated hearing. The two winning teams receive a financial reward.
